Werth is seeking an experienced Graphic Designer who will be responsible for conceptualization, design and execution of creative applications such as collateral material, web design and brand identity. Projects will range from highly creative design to smaller, production-based jobs. The Graphic Designer must be able to effectively coordinate projects with the creative director, clients, account teams and developers to ensure client objectives and internal goals are successfully achieved. It is important that the designer brings original ideas to the firm and the ability to think and plan strategically. This will make the biggest difference in their success at Werth.

Client Service Responsibilities
  • Develop concepts/designs for clients and internal use. Execute designs and creative campaigns through completion and prepare final layout for a variety of client programs.
  • Partner with the creative director and account teams to establish timelines, schedules and budgets to ensure client goals are met beyond expectations.
  • Possess a good understanding of current design trends, design techniques and software updates.
  • Participate in brainstorming/creative sessions to generate new ideas and strategies, as well as support the ideation and concepting of campaigns specific to client creative briefs, and client brand needs, etc.
  • Present work and represent the creative team during internal discussions and client meetings.
  • Maintain and follow file production, organization and documentation procedures.
  • Review work and ensure that the firm’s quality control procedures are followed on all projects.
  • Maintain consistency in the execution of brand standards and foster an environment that focuses on strong attention to detail.
  • Anticipate and/or troubleshoot any problems as they arise. Engage account team or senior management whenever appropriate. Regularly communicate status of projects to account team.
  • Assist in the development of new business proposals and presentations.
  • Build and nurture relationships with clients. Earn clients’ trust in yourself and the firm, both in a professional setting and in the community.
  • Be knowledgeable of all applicable corporate policies and suggest policy changes if necessary.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and team spirit with staff, clients and vendors.

Minimum Qualifications

At Werth, you’ll use all of your talents, sometimes in unforeseen ways. Although we look for some key attributes that are important to the kind of work we do, we learned long ago that the greatest predictors of success are attitude, character, strategic thinking, a team mentality and a willingness to grow. Other qualifications include:

  • A four-year degree with major coursework in graphic design or a related field.
  • A minimum of five years of experience working as a graphic designer, preferably in an advertising or marketing agency, with the ability to produce highly creative work within budgetary guidelines.
  • Proficient in working with a variety of design programs, such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and PowerPoint. And, should have general photography/video and web design skills as well as knowledge in file preparation for print and digital media.
  • Possessing strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Being detail-oriented, having good organizational skills and working well under deadline pressures.
  • Self-motivation to achieve professional and personal growth.
  • Valuing high-quality control standards in all aspects of the production process.
